Placework’s mission is to create transformative design for the benefit of people and planet. We design to elevate the human experience by creating places that feel good and foster connection. Our approach is regenerative and promotes community and ecological well-being.
Designing with Purpose.
With every project we are changing the relationship of buildings to the natural world from one that is destructive to one that is regenerative. As a signatory to the AIA 2030 Commitment, we embrace our environmental responsibility and challenge convention. “Sustainable Design” is not an optional service; creating high performance, healthy environments is integral to our design process.
As a Certified B Corporation, Placework has demonstrated the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We pursued B Corp certification to verify that our practices reflect our values, challenging us to continuously measure and benchmark our progress. Our Just label, issued by the International Living Future Institute is another way we demonstrate accountability and foster transparency in business practices.
Our team’s diverse interests, skills, and experiences give us unique vantage for seeing design possibilities grounded in environmental and social responsibility. Placework is leading the shift from a “do less harm” paradigm to one that creates a just and healthy future for all.
