Placework is a design-forward practice with a fierce sense of responsibility to community and the planet. Equity, diversity, and inclusion are the core of our ethos and our design thinking. The success of our work is directly tied to the culture in our office as we teach and learn from each other in a collaborative environment. Each team member develops relationships with clients, consultants and the communities in which we work. We encourage personal engagement with local issues and as a team share an ethos of service and activism.
Architecture is lifelong learning experience, and as such we support continuing education in several ways. Each individual pursues their own path of learning and returns to share with the team; from attending and presenting at conferences to AIA events and education opportunities. We also invite community members into our office for frequent conversations that enhance our understanding of the world around us and how we can integrate ideas and services into our own practice.
And we have fun! Office outings have brought us to the top of Mount Chocorua, along the Greenway in Boston, and out to the Isles of Shoals. We are an intense but active bunch – and we’re eager to meet you!
