A collaborative working environment
Analytics and Data Science is one of the fastest growing departments at the University of New Hampshire. The graduate program, which attracts many non-traditional students with backgrounds in business, needed a flexible work space to accommodate quiet study, team meetings, and presentations to a full cohort of students. We teamed with the Analytics faculty and staff to transform a former pizza restaurant in downtown Durham into a space to meet these varied needs.
The greatest challenge in crafting this modern working environment was managing a lack of natural light. Flexible glass partitions within an open floor plan help provide the necessary privacy for meeting rooms without blocking light. Integrated linear LED light fixtures and natural wood elements bring a contemporary and organic feel to the rectangular space. Office amenities such as flexible furnishings, whiteboard walls, and an open kitchen ensure the space is both useful and comfortable.
